Ganpati Bappa Morya

Lord Ganesha in a Pandel

Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrating the adventuring of Lord Ganesh in the earth from Kailash Parvat(which is popularly believed as the home of the lord). The festival was first publicly celebrated at Pune during the era of Shivaji who was the founder of the Maratha Empire. The festival is celebrated by bringing in Lord Ganesh’s Murti at the pandals for public worshipping and in private houses also to show there’s enumerable love by treating lord as a member of the family. Lord Ganesha is believed to be the God who has been worshipped before any other god and also known as “the God of New Beginnings” and “the Remover of Obstacles” is also considered to be intelligent, fearless and powerful.

The festival starts by offering prayers to the lord by showing devotion through keeping fast and through chanting of mantras from Hindu religious texts books. Festivals in India would be considered as insipid if sweets are not added with it, Modak believed to be the best-loved sweet by the lord after the tenth day of the puja, the idol is been carried with public dancing to the beats of music in possession where people gather to bid a final goodbye to the lord hoping, wishing and waiting for another year until he comes again and immersed the “Murtis” into the nearby water bodies.

The Stories of Lord Ganesha: The lessons to inculcate

Story-1 Lord Ganesha

Since the days of our childhood, all of us had been hearing stories of Lord Ganesh’s, who is the God of Wisdom.

Lord Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, she once has gone to take bath then she had made a human form out of a Tumeric paste and breathed life into that. Parvati accepted him as his son and after that ordered him on guard duty at the door outside there house while she was taking bathe. Shiva then came back home from his meditation to his surprise he found a boy who was not letting him enter in his own house even after so much of pleading as he was obeying his mother, but this made Shiva very angry, Thus unknowing of the fact that He is his son in his anger with his seraphic rage severed his head into two parts leading to the death of the boy. Parvati after perceiving the news sobs and started giving threats to destroy the whole earth if her child is not been alive again. Shiva then learning his mistake felt remorse about it but the truth is the boy had died so if they wanted him to be alive he would need ahead so Shiva ordered his bull Nandi to bring ahead of the first child he would see who is away from his mother but, Nandi didn’t find the head of a child but a child elephant’s head so he gave that to Shiva and so he placed the head of the elephant in the boy’s body, thus brought him with life again. All the gods present there showered their blessings and was proud to watch his valorous persona, Lord Shiva then named him as Ganesh as known as “Ganapati”

  • We learned from Ganesh his respect, devotion, and love for his mother even though repeated warnings from Lord Shiva did not allow him to enter, obeying his mother’s order.

Lord Ganesha

Story- 2 of Lord Ganesha

Once there was a competition between Ganesh and his younger brother Karthick who can travel around the whole universe seven times first will be declared as the winner. Karthik had peacock as his “Vahaan” that’s why he took the lead and went to fulfill that, on the other hand, Ganesh “Vahan” was mouse so he was unable to perform the task. Due to his presence of mind and his high held notions for his parents, he has gone to his parents who were sitting together. He traveled seven times around them as he considered his parents his whole universe. Karthik returned back and came to know about Ganesh’s intelligence and winning the competition.

Lord Ganesh taught us that there is no more important person than parents in this entire universe, so we should always respect them with all our hearts.

Impact of the Coronavirus Crisis on the Building Materials Industry in India.

Impact of the Coronavirus Crisis on the Building Materials Industry in India.

Growth in the building material sector, which has been struggling over the past 3-4 years due to issues like demonetisation, RERA, GST and the NBFC funding crisis, would now need to cope with the COVID-19 impact.
According to ICICI Securities, “The sector’s growth, which has already been substantially impacted due to muted real estate growth over FY17-FY20, would possibly witness further deceleration with renovation demand likely to shrink in the near term.”
Within the space, we expect the plumbing pipe segment to be relatively less impacted followed by the adhesive segment while categories like wood panel, tile and sanitaryware seem likely to witness further pressures on growth in these testing times, said Nehal Shah, research analyst, ICICI Securities.

Pipes followed by adhesives to be relatively less impacted. Categories like wood panel, ceramic tiles and sanitaryware are largely classified as discretionary spends. They are thus likely to see deferment of demand due to expected decline in renovation/refurbishment activity in the near term due to COVID-19 outbreak.
However, categories like plumbing pipes and adhesives, which are non-discretionary categories (to an extent), may get less impacted in the near term.
While prolonged lockdowns in several states on account of COVID-19 would impact the entire building material sector, the organised plumbing pipe segment is likely to be relatively less impacted due to: 1) the ongoing consolidation in the PVC/CPVC pipe segments (big getting bigger); 2) strong growth in affordable and mid-income housing projects; and 3) sustained replacement (need-based) to the traditionally used GI/CI pipes.
In March 2020, demand in metros and key tier-1 cities has seen some deceleration with calibrated lockdowns, particularly in the second fortnight of the month. “Some dealers are willing to let go of their annual turnover discounts and are instead resorting to destocking or lean inventory citing expectations of demand slump. Also, retail sales is trending lower with less footfalls largely on account of deferment of refurbishment demand, said Jigar Shah, research analyst, ICICI Securities.
